Mozambique leader says to continue talks with Dhlakama’s successor

Beira (Mozambique) (AFP) – Mozambique’s President Filipe Nyusi on Wednesday said he was ready to continue fragile peace talks with the successor to former rebel supremo and opposition leader Afonso Dhlakama.

“I will continue the walk we started together for peace. I’m available to do this,” Nyusi told thousands of mourners at a memorial service in honour of Dhlakama, who died last week.
