Nick Offerman, Ben Kingsley join ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4’

March 19 (UPI) — Paramount Pictures revealed the cast for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will include Matt Berry, Ben Kingsley and Nick Offerman.

The studio released a cast list along with a “title reveal” video on Thursday, with returning stars including Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Lee Majdoub.

Schwartz previously appeared on NBC’s Parks & Recreation alongside Sonic franchise newcomers Offerman and Kristen Bell, whose role was previously revealed as the pink hedgehog Amy Rose.

Berry and Richard Ayoade, who are also joining the video game movie franchise for the fourth installment, previously appeared together in TV projects including Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace and The IT Crowd.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is scheduled to release in theaters on March 19, 2027.
