Oct. 23 (UPI) — A South Carolina woman said she recycled the same set of quick pick lottery numbers for several months, and was rewarded with a $140,000 Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot.
The Pee Dee woman told South Carolina Education Lottery officials she is a frequent Palmetto Cash 5 player and a few months ago she got a set of numbers from a quick pick ticket and decided to stick with them.
“I played it over and over again,” she said.
The woman used those numbers when she bought a ticket for a September drawing at Refuel in Lamar.
Her loyalty to the numbers paid off with a $140,000 prize.
The winner said she has already put her prize money to good use by buying a new car.
