Feb. 5 (UPI) — A South Carolina man made a stop to quench his thirst and ended up buying a scratch-off lottery ticket that earned him a $200,000 windfall.

The Lowcountry man told South Carolina Education Lottery officials he stopped at the 52 Station on Old Highway 52 in Moncks Corner to buy something to drink, and decided to buy a $5 scratch-off ticket.

The My Money Maker ticket turned out to be a $200,000 winner.

“It was pretty cool,” the man said.

The winner said he plans to invest his prize money.
