LOS ANGELES, April 13 (UPI) — Sarah Hyland has been named Kohl’s fashion brand Candie’s first-ever creative director.

According to Us Weekly, The Modern Family star will also be appearing as the new face of the clothing line in the company’s upcoming fall 2016 and spring 2017 collections.

“I grew up looking at Candie’s ads and hearing my friends’ experiences as Candie’s girls, but the added influence of being named the first creative director is really exciting for me,” Hyland said in a statement. “I love fashion; it’s a part of who I am.”

Hyland also noted how she will be working closely with Candie’s designers to help shape the look of the brand’s annual fall back to school campaign.

“I love that I get to have influence on this line because not only are the clothes really fashion-forward, but they are offered at an affordable price point, which means fans of mine can afford what we’re selling,” she continued.

“So excited to announce @Sarah_Hyland as our first Candie’s Creative Director! #SneakPeek #Sarah4Candies,” the company wrote on Twitter Wednesday alongside a promotional photo of the actress modeling some of their items.

Previous celebrity models for Candie’s include Britney Spears, Vanessa Hudgens, Lea Michele, Hayden Panettiere and Bella Thorne.

In March, Hyland made headlines when it was announced that she would be starring alongside Abigail Breslin in ABC’s remake of Dirty Dancing.
