April 1 (UPI) — The stars of the new series The Testaments stepped out on the red carpet Tuesday.

Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Ann Dowd and other cast members attended the show’s Los Angeles premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

The Testaments is based on the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name and takes place in the dystopian world of The Handmaid’s Tale. It is a sequel to that series, which starred Elisabeth Moss and had a six-season run on Hulu.

Dowd reprises her role as Aunt Lydia, while Infiniti and Halliday play Agnes and Daisy, respectively.

“As they navigate the gilded halls of Aunt Lydia’s elite preparatory school for future wives, a place where obedience is instilled brutally and always with divine justification, their bond becomes the catalyst that will upend their past, their present, and their future,” an official synopsis reads.

The Testaments premieres April 8 on Hulu.

Infiniti is known for her starring role in the Oscar-winning film One Battle After Another and the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent.
