Truck fire spills beer on Texas highway

June 29 (UPI) — A beer truck caught fire on a stretch of Texas highway, causing all lanes of traffic to be blocked by the flames and spilled booze.

The Texas Department of Transportation said all lanes of westbound Interstate 10 at Peach Ridge in Waller County were closed Thursday afternoon when a beer truck caught fire in the roadway.

Photos from the scene show severe damage to the cargo area of the truck and beer spilled on the road.

The cause of the fire was unclear.

The department said the road was closed for several hours for cleanup.
