Sarah Palin Mocks Obama with Latte Salute

On behalf of “our honored military,” former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin mocked Obama’s latte Salute on Friday, bringing out a styrofoam cup and saluting Obama during her Values Voter Summit speech.

“On behalf of all Americans who do support you, we honor you. We respect you,” Palin told the troops. “On behalf of all Americans who feel like I do, to your commander-in-chief, we then will salute him.”

She then did the “latte salute” with a styrofoam cup (Palin also mocked former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg with a Big Gulp during a 2012 CPAC appearance that gave rise to the so-called “liberty pose.) and brought the house down.

“He still hasn’t learned how to salute,” Palin told the audience of Obama.

After Obama’s latte salute, Palin apologized to the military for Obama on her Facebook page.

“U.S. Armed Forces, our apologies,” Palin wrote on her after Obama’s so-called “latte Salute,” which “was not a joking matter for those who served in the military or have family members who have put on the uniform.”
