MSNBC’s Seitz-Wald: Clintons Hope Friday Release Will Make Email Story Blow Over

MSNBC political reporter Alex Seitz-Wald reported that a Clinton aide he talked to characterized Friday’s email release as “like the last bite of the apple before this will, they hope, eventually blow over” on Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Rundown with Jose Diaz-Balart.”

He said, “One Clinton aide told me that Friday’s release was like the last bite of the apple before this will, they hope, eventually blow over. They just want to get it done. We’ll see if that proves to be the case, but it’s definitely been a huge distraction. On Friday she was in New Hampshire, she wanted to talk about small businesses, she wanted to talk about the Export-Import Bank and that message was clearly overwhelmed, at least on the national level, by the email issue, which came right in the middle of her event.”
