During his opening monologue at the 2015 Emmy Awards Sunday on FOX, host Andy Samberg suggested Republican frontrunner Donald Trump might be racist.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member delivered a series of one-liners about industry diversity, sexism, ageism, and politics, including jokes about Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

“Donald Trump, of course is running for president, to the delight of uncles everywhere. I’ve got to say, sure, Donald Trump seems racist—What else?”

Samberg’s Bernie Sanders joke was more mild. The comedian said the Vermont socialist “always looks like his flight was delayed.”

“The guy’s a mess,” he added.

Samberg also went after Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis, who spent time in jail this month for refusing to grant gay couples marriage licenses.

“Paula Deen is on this season of Dancing with the Stars, but I gotta say, if I wanted to see an intolerant lady dance, I would have gone to one of Kim Davis’s four weddings,” said the host. “It’s so ironic that she came out of jail to ‘Eye of the Tiger’ when you consider how many dudes have boned each other to that song.”

Prior to the show on Friday, Samberg was asked by The Los Angeles Times about how many Donald Trump jokes he was mandated to have in the show.

The comedian answered, “I’ll feel like I’m not fulfilling my duties if there is zero Trump jokes. He is the story right now. I’m asking for a million, and I’m trying to think of my own. We’ll see if we can find the perfect one. If not, we’ll do a bunch of decent ones.”
