Thursday’s shooting in Cincinnati’s Fifth Third Bank occurred in a gun-free zone.

Breitbart News reported that two people were injured and three were killed when a gunman opened fire at building on Walnut Street. The Daily Mail reported the attack was carried out at the loading dock and in the lobby.

Fifth Third’s Safe and Healthy Work Environment guidelines for employees states, ” You may not possess any type of weapon in Fifth Third’s facilities, at work-related functions or while performing Bancorp business of any kind.”

On August 26, Breitbart News reported that Jacksonville Landing, the mall where the Jacksonville, Florida, shooting occurred, was gun-free as well.

Virginia Tech was a gun-free zone when 32 were killed on April 16, 2007; the Aurora movie theater was a gun-free zone when 12 were shot and killed on July 20, 2012; Sandy Hook Elementary School was a gun-free zone when 26 were killed on December 14, 2012; the DC Navy Yard was a gun-free zone when 12 were killed on September 16, 2013; Umpqua Community College was a gun-free zone when nine were shot and killed on October 1, 2015, Orlando Pulse was as gun-free zone when 49 were shot and killed on June 12, 2016, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was a gun-free zone where 17 were shot and killed on February 14, 2018.
