More Brackets than Budgets: Obama Picks Indiana to Win Tourney

President Barack Obama has submitted more brackets than budgets while he has been president, having filled out a bracket for ESPN every year he has been in office.

Since Obama does not have to campaign for reelection, he could have filled out his NCAA bracket online, but Obama decided to again film the ESPN “Barack-etology” spectacle in the White House, even if it had to be taped hours before he took off for an important trip to the Middle East. The trip will include his first visit to Israel as president.

Obama and ESPN taped the “Barack-etology” special on Tuesday at the White House.

In his bracket, Obama has Indiana beating Louisville in the final. He has Ohio State and Florida in the Final Four as well. And he spoke to ESPN’s Andy Katz about everything from Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo’s success in the NCAA tournament to Gonzaga big man Kelly Olynyk’s hair.

Obama also took time to fill out the women’s bracket, and he has Baylor, Notre Dame, UConn, and California going to the Final Four. ESPN will air the tape of Obama’s picks in the women’s bracket on Friday.
