Sarah Palin Shoots and Scores Big Time in Texas

While Senator-elect Joni Ernst of Iowa is vowing to make ’em squeal in Washington, Sarah Palin is already trimming some pork.

Recently, the former Alaska governor and current Sportsman Channel host was in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, shooting an episode for Season 2 of “Amazing America with Sarah Palin.” The episode wasn’t the only thing shot. Palin took part in one of her favorite sports, hunting. Let’s just say she came out on top.

Palin was able to help eradicate one of the Lone Star State’s peskiest nuisance predators–a feral hog. There are more than two million feral hogs in Texas resulting in millions of dollars of agricultural, environmental, and property damage annually.

After the big get, Palin posted on Facebook: “Everything’s bigger in Texas! We’re in the middle of some great hunts this week for season 2 of Sportsman Channel’s ‘Amazing America with Sarah Palin.'”

Last year the Palin TV show took viewers by storm. The program featured sharpshooters, pro wrestlers, pastors, and craftsmen. It was unique, funny, interesting, and enjoyable. Viewers met several wonderful Americans. Many of the guests won our admiration, whether it be for ingenuity, athletic achievement, entrepreneurship, or philanthropy. The show ended Season 1 by honoring decorated war hero Dakota Meyer.

If Palin’s latest hunting escapade is any indication, we should be in for another set of spectacular episodes.

Season 2 of “Amazing America with Sarah Palin” premieres January 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on Sportsman Channel
