Vegas Favors Patriots to Win Super Bowl

Belichick Brady

Vegas handicappers expect a replay of Super Bowl 38 in Super Bowl 50.

The oddsmakers favor the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers to win their respective conference championships. The teams competed in a high-scoring, thrilling game after the 2003 season. The Patriots and Panthers combined for 37 fourth quarter points in a frantic finish that ended with Adam Vinatieri kicking the game-winning field goal for New England.

While the Pats currently enjoy better odds than the Panthers of winning the big game, that may change after this weekend given injuries and other variables. Both the Broncos and Cardinals play as three-point underdogs in the championship games.

Here are the Super Bowl odds from VegasInsider:

New England Patriots 2/1
Carolina Panthers 11/5
Arizona Cardinals 7/2
Denver Broncos 4/1

Just one player, Tom Brady, remains on a Patriot or Panther roster among the men who competed in that Super Bowl 12 years ago.
