Despite not picking a player in the first round and losing (for now) its best player for the first four games of the season, the New England Patriots appear as the favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl.
The Patriots receive 15/2 odds at VegasInsider.com. The oddsmakers see a repeat of Super Bowl 49, the Seattle Seahawks generate the best buzz among NFC teams at 9/1, as the likeliest pairing. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, and Carolina Panthers follow.
The Cleveland Browns, despite selecting 14 fresh faces in the draft, come in with the worst odds at 200/1. But if Leicester City could overcome 5,000/1 odds and 132 years of futility than surely the Browns can win their first Super Bowl at 200/1. It’s not quite winning the lottery, but $100 on Cleveland wins $20,000 while $100 on their cross-state rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, wins just $1,600.
