Jemele Hill Calls Republican Runoff Between Sessions and Tuberville: ‘Evil vs an Abomination’

Former ESPN personality Jemele Hill spoke out against the coming GOP runoff election between Jeff Sessions and former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville for the U.S. Senate race.

Hill attacked both candidates at once as “evil vs abomination”:

“This isn’t lesser of two evils … this is evil vs an abomination,” she tweeted on Wednesday.

Hill had responded to a tweet by KTLA of its story detailing the runoff election after Alabama’s primary on Tuesday.

Sessions will face off against the former football coach in what KTLA called a “fierce Republican runoff election.”

Sessions, of course, has been a fierce loyalist. Tuberville has also presented himself as a Trump loyalist.

Indeed, Tuberville recent told voters, “I do believe that Donald Trump was sent here by God to help this country because we were in a death spiral.”

Neither candidate ran against Trump, and that likely got Hill all wound up.

Another thing that may be upsetting the Atlantic writer is that Republican voters outvoted the Democrats at a rate of almost two-to-one indicating that sitting Democrat Senator Doug Jones may be in jeopardy.
