Poll: Americans’ Satisfaction with U.S. Plummets by 12 Percentage Points Over a Single Month

Gallup reports that just 17 percent of Americans are satisfied with the status quo in the U.S., down 12 percentage points from the 29 percent satisfaction rate the polling firm logged in June. The 12 percent point decline is one of the the largest drops in satisfaction over a single month since Gallup first started gauging monthly satisfaction levels in 2001.

Hillary Uses Sandra Bland’s Mother to Court Black Vote in Chicago

Hillary Clinton is in Chicago on Wednesday to court the minority vote and use the suicide of a young black woman in a Texas jail to do so. The mother of Sandra Bland is expected to join her at the rally in a Bronzeville, Illinois, neighborhood.

Deputy’s Goforth’s Murder Was Retaliation for Service as a Cop, Says Indictment

HOUSTON, Texas — According to the indictment of Shannon Miles, the motive for the alleged killing of a Harris County deputy was for the deputy’s service as a member of law enforcement. The man accused of executing Deputy Darren Goforth by walking up behind him at a gas station and unloading 15 rounds into his head and back was indicted on Monday.

Some 1,100 Attend Yale ‘Race Teach-In,’ Mizzou Student Invited Speaker

As racial tensions simmer at campuses across the country, a Yale University event titled “A Moment of Crisis: Race at Yale Teach-In” drew more than 1,100 attendees. The event featured an invited phone-in speaker who is one of the organizer’s of the University of Missouri’s race-inspired protests.
