U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a group of 73 illegal immigrants last week, as they sought to evade detection by making their way through a Texas border ranch.

Agents from the Del Rio Sector were conducting their routine duties near the border city of Comstock last week when they spotted a large number of footprints crossing through a particular area, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the U.S. Border Patrol revealed.

Agents followed these footprints for about a half hour before discovering a group of illegal immigrants.  The agents called in helicopter support and located the rest of the group with an aerial search. In total, the agents were able to locate 73 illegal immigrants, who were conducted to Border Patrol vehicles and taken to the Comstock station for processing.

“Working hand-in-hand with other agencies makes the mission of protecting our nation’s borders more effective and efficient,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodolfo Karisch. “The coordination of CBP Office of Air and Marine agents and Border Patrol agents was a great asset in locating and accounting for all 73 subjects.”
