Thursday at the Aspen Institute’s “Washington Ideas Forum,” MSNBC’s “Hardball,” host Chris Matthews said the Republicans could pick up as many as 10 Senate seats because the democrats have nothing to offer voters except running away from the unpopular leader of their party, President Barack Obama.
Matthews said, the Democrats have no message.
“They don’t really have a statement,” he said. “They have nothing in the market basket to offer. They have no real positive brand this time,” he added, “There was a great line from the American Revolution, ‘Either we hang together or we hang separately,’ the Democrats should remember that next Tuesday as the results come in.”
Matthew then made a bold prediction which had the experts in the room shaking their heads when he said the Republicans, “could win up to 10 seats in the US Senate.”
