ESPN spotlighted the relationship between Auburn wide receiver Sammie Coates and 12-year-old leukemia patient Kenzie Ray on Saturday’s “GameDay.”
Ray met Coates in a chance encounter when she was a guest of the Auburn Majorettes and have been close friends ever since, with Coates helping see Ray through in the hospital one night where doctors thought Ray might not live.
