Tuesday speaking to POLITICO, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he is “just perplexed,” about President-elect Donald Trump’s position on Russia, warning him to beware of the Russian “teddy bear.”
Graham said, “I would tell President-elect Trump beware of the Russian teddy bear. Here’s what I think they will do, I think when Trump gets in they’ll start making all kinds of concessions that seem good and are probably not. You don’t go from a grizzly bear to a teddy bear. I just hope that President Trump, when he gets to be president, will understand that Putin — if he tries to become a teddy bear, watch him.”
He added, “If we get a big bipartisan vote for Russian sanctions and the president’s resistant, that will really bother me. He gets Iran, he seems to get China, he gets ISIL, he seems to get North Korea. I’m just perplexed about him and Russia.”
