Exclusive — Breitbart Lives in Chicago: Advance Screening of 'Occupy Unmasked' Will Kick Off CPAC Chicago

Breitbart lives in Chicago.

The American Conservative Union, the organization that runs the influential Conservative Political Action Conference, announced today that an advance screening of Andrew Breitbart’s film “Occupy Unmasked,” will be the kickoff event for CPAC Chicago on June 7 at Muvico Theaters in Rosemont, Illinois.

But conservatives will not be the only ones who are invited. In a move as fearless as Breitbart was, the filmmakers will also invite left-wing Chicagoans to the screening as well.

“Chicago is the hometown of Saul Alinsky and the headquarters President Obama’s re-election campaign, and with Andrew Breitbart making one of his last speeches at the national CPAC last winter, there is no better place to advance screen the film than CPAC Chicago,” said the film’s writer and director Stephen K. Bannon. “We are inviting a Who’s Who list of the radical Left based in Chicago including Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.  In addition, since President Obama ‘owns’ the Occupy movement, we are also inviting David Axelrod and Stephanie Cutter.”

In his final CPAC appearance before his tragic passing, Breitbart presciently predicted the racial tactics the left and mainstream media would use to distract the nation from President Obama’s failed economy. He spoke about the importance of fighting the left and the broader culture at a gathering in which legions of conservatives flocked to hear his ideas about the future of the conservative movement.

“Andrew Breitbart was at the tip of the spear of the conservative movement every single day, and exposing the Occupy Wall Street movement for what they really are was one of his last missions,” said Producer David N. Bossie.  We launched the trailer of ‘Occupy Unmasked with Andrew at the national CPAC this February and it is only fitting to advance screen the film at CPAC Chicago.”

The film, which is written and directed by award-winning director Stephen K. Bannon, and produced by David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United, is available now for pre-order, and features “exclusive footage and first-hand eyewitness accounts” that “tell the story of the criminal activity and raw brutality in the camps” that has not yet been reported by the mainstream media.

“We are excited to be able to screen “Occupy Unmasked” to CPAC Chicago attendees and are happy to once again host Citizens United at CPAC Chicago, this summer’s leading Conservative conference in the Midwest,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “We have been thrilled to host Andrew Breitbart many times at CPAC and are honored to be able to join Citizens United in offering an advanced screening of this film in his honor.”

Larry Solov, who was Breitbart’s best friend and business partner, said Breitbart was the heart and soul of the conservative movement.

“From day One, Andrew Breitbart saw the Occupy Movement for what it was: a manufactured and often lawless response by the organized Left to foment class warfare and strife in an effort to counteract the success of the tea party,” Solov said.

“It was always Andrew’s desire to expose the truth about the people and organizations pulling the strings behind the Occupy movement, and he believed that those facts will shock and trouble the American people deeply.”
