Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. Won't Be Back Soon

Local CBS affiliates are reporting that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) won’t be returning imminently, one day after he took a leave of absence for “exhaustion.” According to sources close to Jackson, he’s “facing a serious health challenge.” Staffers don’t know where Jackson is, and they say that his family doesn’t want the press to know where he is.

Jackson has missed dozens of votes this month; he’s currently dealing with a House Ethics Committee investigation, recently became embroiled in a sex scandal, and one of his key fundraisers was indicted this week.
