Romney to Hold 'Strengthening the Middle Class' Events in Swing States

Mitt Romney’s campaign will hold 24 “Strengthening The Middle Class” events today and Friday in 13 swing states, including Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, Florida, and Colorado.

Local business owners and politicians will headline the events, emphasizing how Romney’s economic policies will make conditions better for the middle class.

In Florida on Thursday night, Sen. Marco Rubio will headline an event in Orlando.

In North Carolina, Artur Davis, one of President Barack Obama’s first endorsers and a recent convert to the Republican Party, will headline an event. If Davis can help make Romney make some inroads among North Carolina’s black voters, it’ll make winning North Carolina easier for Romney and allow him to divert resources to more crucial swing states such as Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado.

And in Virginia, state Delegate Barbara Comstock will headline an event in Leesburg. Comstock appeals to the Northern Virginian suburban women voters Romney will have to draw if he has any chance of winning what may be the most important swing state in November.

Romney’s Virginia Victory Chair, Pete Snyder, will also be at the event. Snyder has been traveling throughout Virginia on Romney’s behalf.

Romney’s campaign, showing how important Virginia is, will hold another event in Mechanicsville, VA at Colonial Body and Paint with Paul Dorn, the owner of the small business, and two Delegates — John Cox and Chris Peace.
