Mocking Obama: Conan O'Brien Shows How It's Done

Comedians have spent the past four years bemoaning how hard it is to poke fun at President Barack Obama.

Obama is too smart, too handsome, too cool, they argued.

What they really meant was:

A. Obama doesn't have a superduper easy hook like President George W. Bush (syntax) and President Bill Clinton (bimbo eruptions).

B. We understand the power of humor and won't risk damaging Obama's presidency with a well written joke.

That's starting to change ever so slowly, and part of the credit may go to Clint Eastwood for turning an empty chair into the funniest critique of Obama yet.

The real shame for comedians is that Obama is actually a sitting duck, comedically speaking. Just look to the man's ego. He promised he would heal the planet, for crying out loud.

He's also a bitter clinger when it comes to his "cool" cache, desperately assembling as many chic celebrities as possible to retain his Kardashian-like street cred. That attitude gave late night talker Conan O'Brien all the ammunition he needed for this short bit:

See, making fun of a sitting president is easy. All you have to do is "want" to do it.
