Jon Stewart Mocks Obama for Blaming Ambassador's Death on YouTube Video

Even Jon Stewart isn’t buying the White House line that a crude YouTube video was responsible for the death of four Americans in Libya – including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Obama’s “evolving” rationale for the attack on an American embassy gave Stewart plenty of fodder for last night’s telecast. The most transparent administration ever? Not quite.

“The Daily Show” host lets loose with a series of contradictory clips on the matter from several administration officials – including the President himself.

“That thing’s like ‘The Ring'” Stewart says of the video Obama is trying to pin so much of the Middle East unrest on. “Three days after you watch it, embassies just burst into flames!”

Stewart routinely rushes to Obama’s defense via his “Daily Show” perch, spinning away his gaffes and attacks his opponents when the mood fits. That said, this is a much harder-hitting piece of political humor than anything seen on “Saturday Night Live” in, well, ages.
