Jimmy Fallon's 'Tonight Show' to Bring First Lady on for Premiere Week

Jimmy Fallon will get a visit from an old pal during his first week overseeing The Tonight Show.

First Lady Michelle Obama, who famously cut a rug with Fallon in drag for a comedy sketch, will be among the show’s guests during the first week of Fallon’s time as host.

The two clicked last year for the viral video The Evolution of Mom Dancing.

More importantly, Fallon has done some heavy lifting on behalf of her husband. Fallon’s old Late Night perch invited the president on to “slow jam” the news, essentially letting Barack Obama push his agenda via the comedy format during an election season.

Fallon, like most talk show hosts, avoided taunting the president during the monologue segment of the Late Show. It remains to be seen if he follows in the footsteps of his predecessor, Jay Leno, who gleefully mocked presidents from both parties during his 22 year reign on the landmark NBC show.

The First Lady will appear on Fallon’s New York-based Tonight Show Feb. 20.
