The Taliban has announced its intention to eliminate Prince Harry during his current deployment in the Helmand province of Afghanistan.
According to Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid: “We are using all our strength to get rid of him, either by killing or kidnapping. We have informed our commanders in Helmand to do whatever they can to eliminate him.”
That same spokesman said the emphasis is not really on kidnapping but on killing: “It is not important for us to kidnap him. We will target him and we will kill him.”
The British government is not commenting on the threats.
