Pouncey Bros. Want to 'Free Hernandez'

Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, twin brothers and centers for the Dolphins and Steelers respectively, caused quite a stir once pictures of the two wearing “Free Hernandez” hats were released.

The former Gator standouts chose to wear the hats in support of their former teammate at their co-birthday party in Miami on Saturday night.

In response to criticism, Maurkice quickly joined the throng of athletes who are saying/doing offensive things in response to either the Hernandez allegations or the Zimmerman verdict and then quickly issuing an apologetic statement. Pouncey tweeted that he understands the “seriousness of the situation involving [his] former teammate.”
