Phil Mickelson Drank $40K Bottle of Wine Out of Claret Jug

After Phil Mickelson took one step closer to winning the career Grand Slam when he won the British Open last year, he celebrated by drinking a $40,000 bottle of wine out of the Claret Jug.

According to Golf Channel, “one of his friends dumped a bottle of 1990 Romanee-Conti – a $40,000 wine – in the oldest trophy in golf.”

After he first won the Masters, Mickelson wore his green jacket to a Krispy Kreme.

Mickelson just needs to win the elusive U.S. Open to complete his career Grand Slam.
