Analysis: Getting Rid of Kiffin Right Move by USC

When one agrees with a football decision made by the late Al Davis in his latter years, one has to pause for a moment and rethink that position. Even after taking a moment to ponder, it is pretty clear that the legendary owner was correct in his analysis of Lane Kiffin. Sep 29, 2013 12:30 PM PT

Week 6 Rankings: Cole Muzio's Top 25

The dominance of the Oregon Ducks has them moving ahead into the top spot. While Alabama is still an awfully good football team, after watching the two teams play yesterday, I have to think the Ducks emerge victorious in a matchup of the powerhouses. Stanford also moves into #4 as the PAC 12 continues to impress. Sep 29, 2013 10:30 AM PT

Opinion: Emmert, NCAA Latest Cowards in Sandusky Saga

Earlier this year, I wrote that Joe Paterno was a coward. While we can talk about all of the great things he accomplished and the undeniably positive impact he had on a number of young men who came through his program, the fact remains that he knew, or at least had strong reason to be suspicious, that Jerry Sandusky, a the long-time assistant coach of his, was not only molesting young boys, but using the Penn State program to do so. Heisman Watch: Oregon QB Mariota Takes Top Spot

The nation’s top performers seem to want to play hot potato with the Heisman as most put together lackluster performances. However, as conference play begins in earnest, hopefuls will have to step up or step aside. Notably, Marcus Mariota takes the top spot as Teddy Bridgewater struggles to catch attention as his team cruises against lightweight competition. Sep 23, 2013 7:49 AM PT

Week 5 Rankings: Cole Muzio's Top 25

The rankings remain largely the same, and there continue to be eight teams that look like legitimate title contenders. Two undefeated teams made moves in LSU, moving up to #5 after an impressive victory over Auburn, and Michigan, which moves down after yet another near-defeat at the hands of a less-than-impressive foe. Here are the rankings: Sep 22, 2013 2:53 PM PT

Indianapolis Colts' owner Jim Irsay encouraged fans to "sit down" in preparation for a "monster trade" on Wednesday. He delivered. He will join the top pick in that same draft--Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Sep 18, 2013 4:01 PM PT

Week 4 Rankings: Cole Muzio's Top 25

UCLA is the biggest mover this week, but the top three teams all enjoyed great weeks in cementing their status at the top of college football. Texas A&M only falls a couple of spots after the loss to Alabama, but Northern Illinois falls out of the top 25 after a lackluster performance against lowly Idaho and TCU falls out after losing to Texas Tech for their second loss of the season. Entering the top 25 are Arizona State and Ole Miss who earned entry with a strong win over Wisconsin and blowout win over Texas respectively. Sep 15, 2013 6:35 AM PT
