Cuccinelli: McAuliffe OK With Letting Sexual Predator Off With Slap On Wrist

The GOP nominee for governor was responding to the ongoing political games played by the McAuliffe camp as they try to dig out of a hole they began shoveling two days ago. The McAuliffe camp accused Cuccinelli of anti-gay bias for using Virginia's anti-sodomy law to throw the book at a 47-year-old man convicted of a sexual act with a minor. He was convicted of a felony under the anti-sodomy law and a misdemeanor for "contributing to the delinquency of a minor." The latter charge carried a light punishment so Cuccinelli pressed for enforcement of the anti-sodomy law so the sexual predator in question could suffer the harshest penalty he could. 5 Apr 2013

Terry McAuliffe Chooses Gay Lobby Over Protecting Minors From Sexual Predators

There are cynical politicians, there are craven, shameless political animals, and then there's Terry McAuliffe. The Democratic fund-raiser who now thinks his ability to squeeze hundreds of millions of campaign dollars from suspicious political donors makes him qualified to be governor of Virginia has tried to paint his GOP opponent, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, as "anti-gay" for seeking to use the commonwealth's sodomy laws in prosecuting a 47-year-old man who coaxed a 17-year-old girl into committing a sexual act. 4 Apr 2013

Washington Post Tries To Pit Rubio Against Tea Party

The Washington Post is trying to set up a divide between Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and the grassroots tea party movement that was so influential in helping Rubio get to Washington in 2010. In analyzing the current immigration reform debate in the senate, the Post claimed Rubio can't champion new immigration policies and maintain his good standing with the tea party movement. 3 Apr 2013

NBC News' Todd On Background Checks: What Do Gun Owners Have to Hide?

Enter Chuck Todd, who truly doesn't understand why a law-abiding gun owner would have a problem with a "Universal Background Check." After comparing extensive background checks to going through a TSA screening at airports, Todd asked Sen. Flake, "What's wrong with law-biding gun owners - what do they have to hide? What's wrong with going through an extensive background check?" 2 Apr 2013

NBC News Analyst: 'Sharecropper' WalMart 'Enslaving' Workers

In a roundtable discussion on MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry Show, Penn University's Anthea Butler outdid the panel of outraged socialists invited to sit and tell Ms. Harris-Perry how smart she is and affirm her position by never daring to offer an opposing view (I kid you not, that seems to be the formula for the show, way to challenge your viewers with new ideas, NBC News.) 31 Mar 2013

CBS Analyst: I Bring 'White Man's Perspective' to March Madness Coverage

CBS Sports analyst Doug Gottlieb caused a politically correct firestorm Thursday night during the network's NCAA basketball tournament coverage. Gotlieb joined co-hosts Greg Gumbel, Kenny Smith, Greg Anthony and Charles Barkley on the pre-show coverage and made a joke about the fact that he was the only one on the panel who was not African-American. 29 Mar 2013

Pastor: Jesus Was Wrong About Marriage

This exchange in particular was the most glaringly infuriating as White, a proponent of same-sex marriage who angered his own congregation recently because of his adamant belief that Christianity supports such a practice, went so far as to agree that Jesus Christ was wrong about His position on marriage being defined as one man and one woman, and if Jesus were alive today he would, in fact, support gay marriage. 27 Mar 2013

Former GOP Chair: Gary Sinise Would Be Perfect Candidate For Public Office

This morning on "Mornings on the Mall" on WMAL-FM in Washington DC, my guest co-host was former GOP Chairman Michael Steele. While talking about recent reports that actor Kelsey Grammer has not ruled out running for public office, I asked Steele which Hollywood personality would be his top pick as a potential candidate for office. 26 Mar 2013
