Dan Quayle Was Right

So lefties have finally figured out 20+ years later than the rest of us that one of their most cherished beliefs - (families of all types should be celebrated - Wheee!) is just so much bunk.
Remember how Dan Quayle was pummeled during the '92 election season for daring to criticize the television show, Murphy Brown, for sending the wrong message about single parenthood? Boy, I sure do.
“Bearing babies irresponsibly is simply wrong,” the vice president said.
“Failing to support children one has fathered is wrong. We must be
unequivocal about this. It doesn’t help matters when prime-time TV has
Murphy Brown, a character who supposedly epitomizes today’s intelligent,
highly paid professional woman, mocking the importance of fathers by
bearing a child alone and calling it just another lifestyle choice.”
I agreed with his assessment, but it was portrayed as a mean-spirited, judgmental, and unreasonable thing to say by our media betters.
Of course, 20 years later, the evidence is overwhelming that the left-wing media complex's favorite whipping boy circa 1992, was absolutely correct.
