T-Mobile Store Manager Praises Employee for Shooting ‘Armed Robbery Suspects’

A South Side Chicago T-Mobile store manager is praising an employee who used a concealed carry handgun to shoot two “armed robbery suspects” on January 13.

According to ABC 7, store manager Neil Tadros said the two suspects “entered the store and acted like they were shopping for phones for a few minutes, then pulled out guns.” Tadros explained that “one employee ran to the back to call for help while the other pulled out his own gun and fired at the two suspects.”

The T-Mobile employee with the concealed permit “hit one of them in the groin and the arm, and the other in the abdomen and the arm.”

The suspects fled but were captured at a nearby hospital while seeking treatment for their wounds.

Tadros said, “I think concealed carry is a great opportunity for managers, workers, employees to protect themselves in these cases. And our employee did a great job to protect themselves and the other employee.” He stressed that if an employee had not been armed, everything could have ended much worse.

Police indicate that the suspects, “ages 24 and 35,” are listed “in serious condition at Stroger Hospital.” Police also indicate the store employee was able to shoot both suspects before either of them got a shot off.
