Actor Jim Carrey is taking aim at NRA “scoundrels and sadists,” referring to the gun rights group as “a national disgrace.”

Carrey tweeted a drawing May 13 that depicted newly chosen NRA President Oliver North as a snake. The drawing was captioned “Someday they’ll say we turned a blind eye to the suffering and slaughter of our own children and gave ourselves over to scoundrels and sadists. The NRA is a national disgrace. The venom of greed is killing America”:

Rosie O’Donnell quickly concurred with Carrey. She retweeted his message, adding, “Amen Jim.”

Jim Carrey has publicly denounced the NRA and pro-Second Amendment Americans for years. On March 24, 2013, Breitbart News reported that he referred to pro-Second Amendment Americans as “heartless motherf*ckers.” He made that statement at the same time he released a new song designed to mock late NRA President Charlton Heston. He sang, “His immortal soul may lay forever in the sand, the angels wouldn’t take him up to heaven as he planned, cuz they couldn’t pry his gun from his cold, dead hand.”

More recently, Carrey described the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre as a “demon from hell.”
