WOBURN, Mass., Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- In a continuing effort to stay
ahead of STRONG demand for the company's wireless voice and data products and
services, Verizon Wireless today announced that it will hire approximately 300
new employees throughout the region during the first six months of 2007.
These employees will join the 855 employees the company recruited and hired
throughout New England in 2006.
"The appetite of New England's consumers and businesses for our exciting
new wireless phones, voice and high-speed wireless broadband services
continues to fueled our need for energetic and customer focused employees in
2006 and we expect that trend to continue throughout 2007," said Ken Dixon,
New England Region President

speaking customers get the best value from their Verizon Wireless products and
services."
