Seahawks Browner banned 4 games

The Seattle Seahawks will be without Pro Bowl cornerback Brandon Browner for their last four games of the NFL regular season after he was banned for violating league policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

NFL.com and other US media had reported in late November that Browner and fellow starting cornerback Richard Sherman had both tested positive for the prohibited stimulant Adderall but were appealing.

Browner has reportedly dropped his appeal, opening the door for the league’s announcement of his suspension.

Browner will be eligible to return to Seattle’s active roster on December 31, one day after the team closes the regular season against St. Louis.

That would make him available should the Seahawks advance to the playoffs.
