ECB to supervise all 6,000 eurozone banks from 2014: source

The European Central Bank will be charged with supervising all 6,000 eurozone banks from 2014, a French government source said on Thursday, as EU leaders thrash out an accord on a banking union.

“The supervision will be in effect for the 6,000 banks from the beginning of 2014,” this source said.
