Blast in Beirut Hezbollah bastion: TV

A huge blast Thursday rocked Beirut’s southern suburbs, bastion of Lebanon’s Shiite Hezbollah movement which is allied to the Syrian regime, local television channels reported.

The explosion, which occurred between the Bir el-Abed and Roueiss neighbourhoods, comes just over a month after a car bomb in south Beirut injured dozens of people.
