NEW YORK, April 3 (UPI) — Kellie Pickler is to headline a new reality show and Billy Ray Cyrus will star in a scripted comedy series, CMT announced Thursday during a presentation in New York.
I Love Kellie Pickler will follow the recording artist’s marriage to Kyle Jacobs, while Still the King will feature Cyrus as a one-hit wonder who becomes a pretty good Elvis Presley impersonator. Pickler’s show is expected to premiere in September and Cyrus’ will debut early next year.
The country music-themed cable television network said it is also starting up its first nightly chat program, The Josh Wolf Show, which will star comedian Josh Wolf and be produced by Chelsea Handler. The series is to begin June 11.
