WAM Sharjah, Nov 13th, 2012 (WAM) – Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi ordered on Tuesday to exempt all Syrian publishing houses from the fees for participating in the 31st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF).
Over 58 publishing houses are participating in the SIBF from Syria this year, said Director of the Book Fair Ahmed Bin Rakad Al Ameri.
Al Ameri hailed the Ruler’s directives, which came as a support to the Syrian publishers in view of the difficult situations their country is passing through.
