WAM SHARJAH, 24th February, 2014 (WAM) — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of the American University of Sharjah (AUS), received today in his office at the University, Frisco Mayor in Texas, Maher Maso and his accompanying delegation.
Sharjah Ruler welcomed the guests and exchanged cordial talks on issues of mutual interests in the economic and investment fields.
Sheikh Sultan received the keys of Frisco City in recognition to his exerted efforts in boosting cooperation in the shared domains between Sharjah and Frisco City. In return, Sheikh Sultan conferred on the guest the University’s a Shield. They posed for photographs.
On his part, Maher Maso wrote a statement in the University’s gold register for key visitors, lauding the warm reception of Sheikh Sultan.
He also praised Sharjah Ruler’s efforts in serving the scientific and cultural fields, stressing that the educational institutions in Sharjah reflect Sheikh Sultan’s prudent vision in the investment and building intellect of the citizens.
A number of educational figures at the university attended the meeting.
