Dulis: Were Mordecai and Esther Really Faithful to God?

Every year around the time of Purim, churches and synagogues around the world dive back into the book of Esther, where we hear of a courageous young Jewish woman in exile saving her people, who were put in danger because of her uncle’s unbending integrity in the face of pagan tyranny. But is that story really what we read–or merely what we’ve read *into* this unique book of the Bible?

The Bible Art Library is a collection of commissioned biblical paintings. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, under a work-for-hire contract, artist Jim Padgett created illustrations for 208 Bible stories encompassing the entire Bible from Genesis through Revelation. There are over 2200 high-quality, colorful, and authentic illustrations.

Dulis: The ‘Pee Tape’ Hoax Is Finally, Absolutely Dead. It’s Time to Brand the ‘Rushers’ Who Pushed It.

The 9/11 and Kenya conspiracy theorists each had their own nicknames: “Truthers” and “Birthers,” respectively. But the Russia fanatics have not received their own title — some call them “Russia truthers.” Not quite as snappy, nor was my go-to label for a while: “Birthers with Advanced Degrees.” So I’m proposing a new nickname for the Putin-obsessed: the “Rushers.”

Dulis: 9 Christian Hip-Hop Albums to Hear After ‘Jesus Is King’

“Christian hip-hop” may trigger flashbacks of tone-deaf, corny “outreach” by people who belong nowhere near the genre. However, there is a rich world of “lyrical theology” in a range of styles and approaches, with production value that rivals the big-money beatmakers.
