Presidential hopeful Sen. Rand Paul will headline a pro-life rally in Washington D.C. that will demand Congress pass a budget that contains no taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider.

National pro-life groups Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Pro-Life Future (PLF) will host a #WomenBetrayed rally and press conference in the nation’s capital on Thursday, September 10, to call attention to their claim that, while Planned Parenthood touts it promotes “women’s healthcare,” it has actually betrayed women through its practices of harvesting the body parts of women’s aborted babies for potential sale on the open market, as revealed in undercover videos.

The lack of sanitary conditions in Planned Parenthood clinics was further revealed in the most recent video released by the Center for Medical Progress. The video shows Cate Dyer, CEO of biomedical company StemExpress – a major partner of Planned Parenthood in the harvesting and sale of aborted baby parts – laughing at what she called the “rampant, rampant problems with bacteria in certain [Planned Parenthood] clinics.”

“Somewhere you’re kind of in question of should they really, you, know,” she laughed.

“Planned Parenthood’s back is up against the wall as they have been struggling to explain how they aren’t profiting off of selling the body parts of the babies they abort every day,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, in a statement sent to Breitbart News. “Pro-life groups have been trying to defund Planned Parenthood of taxpayer dollars for years. This year, Republican leadership can make sure it happens.”

Regarding the latest video, pro-life organization Live Action president Lila Rose said in a statement, that it is “yet another confirmation of what the seven other videos have proven–Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of the children that they abort, including babies who are delivered intact and very likely born alive.”

Rose observes that Dyer “casually states Planned Parenthood is a ‘volume institution,’ and references the ‘intact cases, which happens a lot.’”

“Dyer’s words are chilling–every ‘intact case’ that StemExpress buys from Planned Parenthood is a fetus who was delivered without first killing the child through digoxin or other means, raising a high possibility these babies were born alive,” Rose continues. “Dyer also comments on the financial relationship with Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics, emphasizing the need to make it ‘financially profitable’ and referencing the value of different body parts.”

Rose states the videos provide evidence that “Planned Parenthood is engaged and profiting from the harvesting, trafficking and selling of aborted baby body parts.”

“The abortion giant should be immediately defunded of the over 500 million of forced taxpayer dollars they receive a year, and attorneys general and state prosecutors should be conducting full criminal investigations into these barbaric and illegal practices,” she added.

Planned Parenthood tweeted out a cartoon in defense against defunding its organization:

In addition to Rand Paul, the #WomenBetrayed rally will also feature several women who have gone to Planned Parenthood for healthcare services and had horrific experiences. SFLA and PLF will partner with former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson and her ministry, And Then There Were None, to expose the abortion giant.

“Planned Parenthood receives over half a billion a year from taxpayers,” said Brendan O’Morchoe, director of PLF. “Congress must pass a budget that strikes their funding and send the bill to President Obama.”

“Planned Parenthood’s entire business model is built on selling out women and their preborn babies for profit,” he added. “They treat women horribly, and we plan to make sure that Congress hears from these women.”

Immediately following the rally, participants will lobby their Members of Congress to pass a budget that does not fund Planned Parenthood.

Last Saturday, tens of thousands of protesters, in over 320 cities nation-wide and at least five other countries, called out Planned Parenthood’s dismemberment of aborted babies for potential sale and demanded defunding the organization.
