A previously deported illegal alien and MS-13 gang member was convicted and sentenced to life in prison on Monday for participating in the murder of a foreign national in Frederick, Maryland.

MS-13 gang member Raul Ernesto Landaverde-Giron, a 28-year-old illegal alien who was previously deported from the United States, was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for a slew of felony convictions, including helping to kill a target of the violent street gang.

Between 2012 and 2016, MS-13 gang members — including Landaverde-Giron — conducted a number of attacks, murders, and crimes in Prince George County and Frederick County.

One of those murders involved Landaverde-Giron and a few other MS-13 gang members who targeted a foreign national who had escaped the gang in El Salvador after being labeled as a “greenlight” for gang members to murder.

On November 30, 2013, Landaverde-Giron, along with two other MS-13 gang members, murdered the man in Frederick County, shooting him in the head and then stabbing him to death.

Landaverde-Giron, prosecutors say, took part in the stabbing where gang members slashed his face and neck. The gang member was even promoted within the ranks of the gang for this murder.

Previously, Landaverde-Giron was deported from the U.S. after being in the country illegally. Like many other deported illegal aliens, Landaverde-Giron returned to the U.S. illegally through the country’s porous immigration system.

In a recent piece by the establishment media, reporters glossed over the MS-13 gang’s murderous and vicious record, calling the organized crime group an “American problem,” despite the gang originating in El Salvador.
