In response to Colorado Democrat state rep. Joe Salazar’s comments that women ought to be given rape whistles and access to emergency call boxes instead of guns, Roseanne Barr tweeted: “Arm the women of the world–send guns and ammo everywhere–train them to make clean headshots.”
And in response to Salazar’s comments that women “simply don’t know who [they’ll] be shooting at” and that he feared an armed woman would just pull out a gun and start shooting if she “feels like [she’s] going to be raped,” Barr tweeted: “Until women use force to fight force, force will win against them.”
Barr’s pro-gun position was echoed by Colorado Republican state rep. Lori Saine, who said: “My daughter’s going to be going off to college in about ten years. I can’t believe her only option’s going to be to outrun her attacker to a call box. I think she’s going to be responsible enough to handle a gun.”
