Obama: ObamaCrash Like Having a 'Really Good Product in a Store And The Cash Registers Don't Work'

Obama traveled to Dallas, Texas, today to promote his “signature achievement” in Ted Cruz’s territory. He spoke at the Temple Emanu-El to approximately 75 volunteers from the Dallas Area Interfaith Coalition. Defending ObamaCare and lashing out at critics – as is his wont – he neglected to address the mounting scandal surrounding his humongous “you can keep your plan” lie. But he insisted that “We’re on the right side of history” in the health care fight. (Which apparently doesn’t entail being on the right side of the truth.)

ABC News reported:

Highlighting the law’s benefits at Dallas Temple Emanu-El, Obama encouraged participation in the marketplaces set up by the law. He said nothing drives him crazier than knowing there’s good insurance available – if only the website would work properly.

“This is like having a really good product in a store, and the cash registers don’t work, and there aren’t enough parking spots,” Obama said.

That’s not a bad analogy. Those unlucky five percenters who have lost their *“bad-apple” insurance plans can’t get on the website to choose new, more expensive plans that will subsidize the ObamaCare winners. The five percenters, (who include people with pre-existing conditions) can’t check out at the ObamaCare cash registers – Ka-ching! This is a distaster for Obama’s redistributive scheme.

“I know that sometimes this task is especially challenging here in the great Lone Star State,” Obama said to laughter. “But I think all of you understand that there’s no state that actually needs this more than Texas.”

Perry shot back, accusing Obama in a statement of trying to “salvage his ill-conceived and unpopular program from a Titanic fate.”

“Texans aren’t the reason Obamacare is crumbling,” Perry said. “Obamacare is the reason Obamacare is crumbling.”

Here’s a video of a part of his speech:

Senator Cruz released the following statement regarding President Obama’s trip to Texas:

“President Obama’s trip to Texas brings nothing with it but broken promises. He promised that Americans could keep their health care plans. We were told premiums would go down, that jobs would be created. And we now know these are all false promises.
“Texas’ economy is strong and our population is young and growing because our leaders embrace limited government, restrained spending, and competition. But in spite of all Texas has done to resist the biggest entitlement program of this generation, Obamacare is reducing health care options, increasing costs and hurting jobs. It has no place in Texas and must be repealed so we can empower Americans and their families by offering real health care choices rather than a government-written menu of plans they don’t want and can’t afford.

“President Obama should take his broken promises tour elsewhere so Texans can continue focusing on the solutions that have allowed our state to become and remain the nation’s economic and job creation powerhouse.”
