Jay Carney: ObamaCare Critics Are "Gnashing Their Teeth"

In response to No Mention of Kathleen Sebelius in President’s Obamacare Speech:

Monday, before the (very specific) 7.1 million enrollment number was publicized, White House Press Sec. Jay Carney declared ObamaCare’s success and taunted its critics – all while insisting that the administration was not taking a “victory lap.” He also pressured the White House press pool  to “make note” of Obamacare’s amazing success in their reports.
“We’re achieving something today that has our critics gnashing their teeth,” White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Monday.
“More than 6 million people have signed up,” he said. “No one expected us to come back from the brink or to surpass the revised CBO projection that 6 million consumers would sign up in year one, but we have. And I think that merits noting in your reports.”
Nevertheless, “this is not a victory lap,” Carney said. “All this is about is providing benefits to the American people. It’s really not about the midterm cycle or, you know, what a critic in the Senate or the House says versus what we say. It’s about delivering on a promise that the Affordable Care Act embodies and that the president made and that many presidents prior to him tried to make.”

If I had this White House’s disgraceful record of disseminating unreliable information to the public, I would say, “this is not about what critics say verses what we say,” too.

What I wouldn’t do is remind people of all the false promises Obama recklessly made.

As noted ObamaCare critic John Sexton noted, close examination of the numbers show a rather unsatisfying result – only a very tiny fraction of the 45 million uninsured people Obama disrupted all of our lives to help have been insured.

Meanwhile, Obama and Co are touting a still unsecure website as “fixed”.

Via Keith Koffler of WHD:

Security consultant David Kennedy, who has testified before Congress about the flaws in Healthcare.gov that have made people’s information unsafe, revealed Monday he was able to gain access to the personal records of 70,000 Obamacare enrollees in four minutes.
“It looks like it’s continuing to get worse,” Kennedy said of the website’s security fiasco.

In the face of all this, the very Regime that committed fraud on the American public in order to pass the unpopular health care law, is crowing and trash-talking its critics?

I’m gnashing my teeth, all right.
