Mexican authorities set fire to 136 tons of marijuana in a coordinated action spread out in 9 states where they destroyed the narcotics. Military and police forces had seized the marijuana from cartels in recent weeks.

In the border city of Reynosa, Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (PGR) oversaw the torching of 136 tons of marijuana (32,463 kilograms), two kilos of meth, and a kilo of cocaine. The drugs had been seized by authorities and turned over to the PRG. For the torching, authorities gathered at a shooting and fishing club on the outskirts of the city. They where stacked and then set fire to the drugs.

In Baja California, authorities torched more than 70 tons of drugs. In Sinaloa, they torched about seven and half ton. In Sonora, they torched 11 tons. They seized a total of 136,926.140 kilograms of drugs, information released to Breitbart Texas revealed.

Mexico’s Attorney General Arely Ramos oversaw the torching of the drugs in Baja California, where she said that the value of the seized drugs in Mexico exceeds two billion pesos.
