Father of SB Victim Joins with Moms Demand Action in Gun Control Push

Richard Martinez, father of Santa Barbara shooting victim Christopher Martinez, is joining with Bloomberg-funded Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America to support pro-gun control candidates this November.

He is also working with Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety.

According to KCBX Public Radio, Martinez traveled to state capitals in “Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Iowa earlier this month, pulling wagons full of ‘Not One More’ postcards to deliver various lawmakers.” He and the Bloomberg gun groups “wanted to deliver [the] postcards personally in a way that…politicians will find hard to ignore.”

Martinez said Americans across the country are giving up on the “ideal of democratic democracy” because of Congress’ inability to get something done and his goal is to end the election “of “extreme candidates” so something can be done.

He said only one issue matters to him this November is gun control.
